Obituary for Herman Leverenz Jr.
Herman J. Leverenz ST. CLAIR Herman J. Leverenz, 95, of St. Clair, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997 in River District Hospital after a short illness. illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1901 in Richmond. He married Gladys Lin-dow Lin-dow Lin-dow on June 16, 1926. She died Jan. 2, 1974. Mr. Leverenz worked for Diamond Diamond Crystal Salt Co. for many years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Clair. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, Melvin and Marilyn Marilyn Leverenz of Naples, Fla. and Kenneth and Lois Leverenz of St. Clair; his daughter and son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, Marion and Richard Zimmer of Huachuca City, Arz.; eight grandchildren, grandchildren, Rick Leverenz of St. Clair, Debra Emerich of St. Clair, Robert Leverenz of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Nancy Raschke of Portland, Or., Tim Leverenz of St. Clair, Barbara Conlon of Waynesboro, Pcnn., Cheryl Timmons of Dale City, Va., and Tom Zimmer of San Antonio, Tex.; 17 greatgrandchildren; greatgrandchildren; one sister, Romelda Blum of Sterling Heights; and several several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1 1 a.m. Saturday Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Clair. The Rev. Walter Malkewitz will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Young Colonial Colonial Chapel Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Mr. Leverenz's grandchildren and great-grandchildren great-grandchildren great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
