CARLISLE BUILDING DAMAGED BY BLAZE Carlisle, April 2. Fire yester day damaged the old Beetem Pa per Box Company Building and a quantity of used furniture in the store of John C. Cope, located in the first floor. Several looms and rugs of the C. Gilbert Beetem carpet plant on the second floor were" damaged by smoke. The fire started from a defective chimney and spread to the ceiling above a stove. Cope in attempting to throwwater on the flames in the dense smoke upset a small drum of oil which flared up and forced him and his helper, Robert" Henson, from the building. ORDER GAS COMPANY
