Paul Cahill obituary
PAUL THOMAS "TOM" CAKILL, 72, of KEYPORT died Saturday at Madison Center, Old Bridge. He became manager of the Bay Drug Store and continued continued there through 1950 when he entered the U.S. Navy and served aboard two "jeep" aircraft aircraft carriers during the Korean War. He founded Cahill Realtors at the famed "Pirate Ship" on Highway 35, Laurence Harbor. Some of his past offices include president of the Krige Corporation Corporation (Cat and Fiddle of Cliffwood), president of the Cliffwood Beach and Laurence Harbor Water Co., and owner and president of Cahill Cahill Liquor Store, Middletown. He graduated from Keyport High School. He touched many lives and he will be sorely missed. Born in Hazlet, he was one of 12 children. He was predeceased by a son, Danny, in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Norene Maggison Cahill; Cahill; a daughter and son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, Kelly and George Strang; a son and daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law, daughter-in-law, Paul and Susan Cahill; two brothers, James and Arthur of Keyport; four sisters, Loretta Armstrong of Keyport, Elizabeth Tibbetts of Keyport, Jewel Moren of Clearwater, Clearwater, Fla., and Patrica Ragner of Santa Paula, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Patrick, Courtney Courtney and Ian Strang, and Brian and Dylan Cahill. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Waitt-Nelms Waitt-Nelms Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, 501 Route 79, Morganville, Marlboro. A Roman Catholic Mass will be offered at 9:15 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Keyport. Internment Internment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Red Bank.
