Her children, most of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were able to be with her and share their love one H - nal time and say good-bye as she began her journey home to the Lord. Despite the eLects of a stroke 5 years ago and a long battle with advanced COPD, she enjoyed family and friends up until the end, retaining her sense of humor. For the last year she had resided at Artisan Senior Living Center in De Pere where the family was appreciative for the care she was given. A special “thank you” goes to Dr. Dan Koster our wonderful family physician and close friend. Betty was born August 18, 1931, the daughter of Norris and Lorraine (Doyen) (Doyen) Beno. She married Lloyd Biersteker in Green Bay in October of 1950, and they had three children, children, Diane, Sue and David David (Also known as “Joey”). Lloyd died far too young in 1987, but Betty dusted herself oL and went on to enjoy many years of independence independence after his death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her only son, David “Joey”, parents, Lorraine & Norris Norris Beno, and her brother, Ron Beno. Survivors include Betty’s Betty’s two daughters, Diane Biersteker (Tom Erler) of Little Suamico, and Sue (Jerry) Mattice of rural Wautoma. Grandchildren include: Ben (Crystal) Erler, Erler, Nick (Alli) Erler, Anne (Ryan) Wettstein, Ken (Emily) Mattice, Angie (Morgan) Menezes. Great- grandchildren include: Tommy, Ryan and Olivia Erler and Marissa Menezes. Menezes. Betty is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and many special lifelong friends. Betty enjoyed her life fully and was a good friend to many. She liked bowling, bingo, bridge, playing cards, an occasional occasional cocktail and her Wednesday afternoon gathering with her lady friends. A special treat each year was the annual family vacation to Lake Noquebay with extended family and friends a tradition tradition carried on for 45 years. Betty was known by family and friends as a very fun lady who loved life. She was always the “PARTY Grandma”…. ice cream & popcorn for breakfast with the grand - kids was not unusual. Friends and family are invited to CELEBRATE her LIFE with us from 10:30am until 11:45am on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., Green Bay.
