LOTTIE MULLIS BENGE Mrs. Lottie Mullis Benge, wife of Joseph Benge of Vallonia, died Thursday, August 18, at Barkes and Inlow funeral home in Columbus of an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Benge, 59, was visiting the funeral home during calling hours for her niece Mrs. Peggy Ann Moore, who died Tuesday. Born in Brown County Dec. 15, 1906, she was the daughter of Jesse and Bessie Hurley Harden. She was married to Arthur Cooley in 1924. In 1931, she was married to Elmer Mullis and he died in 1960. She was married to Mr. Benge in May of 1965 in Brownstown. Mrs. Benge was a member of the Green Valley Pentecostal Church near Nashville. Nashville. Surviving with her husband are three sons, Martin C. Baker and Clinton M. Cooley, both of Nashville route 4, and Russell A. Mullis of Elizabethtown route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Dessie DelVecchio of 2534 Fourteenth street, Mrs. Esta M. Johnson of Carmel and Mrs. Betty L. Walls of Columbus route 7: Also, two brothers, Weber Harden Harden of Columbus route 6 and Harley Harden , of Florida; a sister, sister, Mrs. Hattie Hillenburg of Bloomington; " six stepsons, James Benge of Hamilton, Ohio, Alfred and Harry Benge of Vallonia. Homer Benge of Shoals, Clifford Benge of Carroll, Ohio, and John Benge of 'Medora; three stepdaughters, .Mrs. Clara England and Mrs. , Dorothy Aynes of Vallonia and Mrs. Wanda Thacker of Berea, Ky.; 16 grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. greatgrandchild. Funeral services were held on Monday at the Green Valley church,, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Hardin. Burial was in the church cemetery. Bond's Funeral Home was in charge of the servicea.
