on Tlie ' all(^ County Times, published at Coupvill, Island county, prints the following about Mrs. It. H. Btrautt, who died at her home, on Blakely island, on the 11th inst: "Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Straub, wife of R. H. Straub, died at her residence on Hlakely island, San Juan Co., about > o'clock Saturday evening, May 11, IHiio, aged 6-3 years. Mrs. Straub was formerly the wife of Grove C. Terry, with whom she lived on Whidby island, near Coupville, until Mr. 'lerry's death. A few years after she was married to Mr. Straub, who removed to Blakely Island about four years ago. Her last sickness of ten weeks'duration was very painful, being of the nature of Bright* disease. Mrs. Straub was known among her neighbors as one of the most industrious, unselfish, kindliHarted and generous of women. She was formerly i member of the Methodist Episcopal church on Whidby Island, and was noted for her good works. The funeral services took place at the home of the deceased on Monday afternoon, Rev.
