™ Thompson fj~||0BITUAR)ES ESTHERVILLE — Services for Mrs. Dora Herberg Thompson, 84, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Obert Rust officiating. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Graettinger. Mrs. Thompson died Saturday evening, March 26, 1977, at Holy Family Hospital, as the result of a stroke. She was born March 22, 1893, at Graettinger, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bondus. Mrs. Thompson received her education in Palo Alto County schools and was married to Louis J. Sandvig on Feb. 12, 1913, and the couple farmed in the Graettinger area until Mr. Sandvig's death in 1943. Following Mr. Sandvig's death, she moved to Graettinger until 1950, when she was married to Thomas T. Thompson and the couple lived in Estherville. Mr. Thompson died in 1961. During her lifetime, Mrs. Thompson was a cook at Iowa State University, Ames, Emmet Consolidated School, Good Samaritan Center, Lutheran Bible Camp and Fort Dodge Lutheran Hospital. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church and church circles. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. C. (Melvina) Rasmussen, Wallingford, Mrs. Harold (Harriett) Brady, Ruthven, and Mrs. L. C. (Leona) Nelson, Davenport; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sophie Peton, Graettinger; and one brother, Tom Bondus, Akron, Colo. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, two brothers and five sisters. Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church. Theodore Roosevelt National Memorial Park in North Dakota includes includes part of the former President's Elkhorn Ranch along the Little Missouri River.
