Woodbury Ga May 8 Special The report sent out from Columbus last night hat fears were -entertained in Heel- wether. that a lynching would follow th pprehenston of the negro who had shot nd Wiled V. B Strlbling. marshal-of 'Woodbury. was not veil founded. Marshal Strlbling was found dead San- ay morning on the railroad and at a pot near the depot. At the coroner's investigation it developed that he went up the road a short distance said was ward to exclaim. "You are under ar- est. .At that several shots were fired. nd a negro was seen running away The negro later told several other negroes hat Marshal Strlbling had tried to place tm under arrest and that he had re- Isted. killing the marshal.
