Ambrose Weiss, 75, Perry Tavern owner Ambrose J. Weiss. 75. of 253 Gass Road. Ross, died of a heart attack at Suburban General Hospital Mondav. Dec. 6. 1971. He was born on a 31 - acre farm on Gass Road and lived in Ross Township all his life. Later Mr. Weiss sold 30 acres, now the site of the Valley Hi plan, and kept one acre for his own home. He was the owner and operator of the Perry Tavern, Ross, until his retirement several years ago. He was manager of the Lyceum at St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church in West View and a member of the Holy ame Society. Mr. Weiss is survived by his widow. Mrs Irene Brown Weiss, and four children: Joseph G.. Wallace Road. Pine; Ambrose J. Weiss Jr.. at home. Mrs. Jack (Maryi Lyons. 2406 Sherwood Ave.. Hampton, and Mrs. John i Anita i Volzer of Westminster. Calif. There are 21 grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. He was the brother of Mrs. Josephine Mehring of Richmond. Va. Friends were received at the H. P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Ross. A Requiem Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in St, Teresa Cemetery, Ross.
