Camp Bonds today filed a charge of murder against J. C.; Fast, Jr., 32, for the fatal schooting yesterday of L. W. McLean, 49, vice president of the Commercial National bank here. Bonds said Fast would be arraigned this afternoon before S. C. Cavender city court judge. McLean, vice president of the Commercial National bank, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Muskogee city treasurer, was shot down as he sat at his desk yesterday afternoon. "I did it. I have no alibi," Fast told Bonds in a signed statement. An Enemy Since 1930 Bonds said he asked Fast why he shot McLean and Fast replied "I was drunk. I have had it in for him for .five ,or six years, ever since he refused to loan me $15( in 1930. I have gone to sleep and walked a thousand mileg for the last five years to keep from killing him.'' Bonds' said Fast told him that he went to McLean for a loan because he 'had overdrawn his account $200 to $300 while on a recent vacation in Colorado. "I asked him to loan me enough to take care of the checks and he told me he didn't feel justified in loaning me any money,' 1 Bonds quoted Fast as saying. "He told me I ought to straighten up. "We talked a few minutes longer and then I told him: '-You have caused me enough grief.' "Then as I got up I shot him." One Shot Through Heart The 49-year-old banker was shot through the heart. Another bullet pierced his head. E. D. Sweeney, another bank vice president, and John R. March, Muskogee and Oklahoma City contractor, a customer, disarmed Fast and held him until police arrived.
