Halsell Ranch Runs 3,000 Cows ^AMHERST, tamb County, April 7, W—The Halsell company, one of .the'.major ranches on the south ' plains, runs 3,000 breeder cows on the 80,000-acre property as well as a registered herd" for breeding bulls. Five thousand acres of the ranch fare sown to wheat, barley, and grain sorghums, for stock feed. In 1901, the late W. E. Halsell of Sari Antonio and his son', 'Ewing Halsell of Vinita, Okla., bought more than 100,000 acres from the Capitol Freehold Land & Investment com- piuiy, builders of the state capital at Austin. Headquarters are at the Sod House camp of the old XJT ranch, which once grazed this portion of the famous 3,000,000-acre spread. The late Will Rogers visited the ranch at intervals as the guest of Ewing Halsell, a schoolmate. American Kennel Club has authorized an all-breed clog show on HOLD EVERYTHING
