Mrs. J. Holford EDWARDSVILLE. — Funeral services for Mrs. June W. Holford, 55, of Edwardsville Rt. 3, who died at .11 ;20 n.m, Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, after a long illness, wf-re held at 2 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Troy. Mrs. Holford was the wife ol Walter Holford, prominent auc n may call. ' tionecr. The Rev. Orville Clay of East St. Louis officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. Arby Hosto pastor of the Granlfork Evangelical and Reformed Church Burial was in Buck Road Cemetery. Mrs. Holford was born June 18, 1902, at Cherrysvale, Kan. a daughter of Mrs. Cora Baker Cook and the late William Cook She was married July 22, 1929 at St. Louis to Walter Holford and the couple later resided at Troy from 1934 until moving to Jie Edwardsville area in 1941. Surviving besides her husband and mother are two daughters Mrs. Orville Landert of Poca hontas and Mrs. Bethel McQueen of Collinsville; a brother, T. L Cook of San Antonio, Tex., anc six grandchildren. Mrs. Holford was a member of First Baptist Church, pas president of the Ladies Bowling League here and a former presi dent of the National Auctioneers Association Auxiliary and pas historian of the association. 2
