Area Instructors Top Officials HAYS — R it a Ashcraft, Hays senior at Fort Hays State College, and Doris Coppock, instructor in physical education at McPherson College, earned their top or National Rating as Volley ball officials at a clinic held at Hays. Twenty nine instructors andj students of physical education^ from McPherson, Dighton, Ly- ! ons, Syracuse, Otis, Lincoln and; Fort Hays State look the tests,' administered by Ruth Sevy of the I physical education department.; She is chairman of the Kansas of Women's National board of Women's National Officials Ratings Board. A minimum theory score of 82 and practical test score of 85, with an overall average of 85 is required for National Rating. Next high rating is, "Local," and was earned by: Hazel Estes, Syracuse; Donita Moore, Lincoln; Betty Jo Johns, Dighton; Joan Bailey, Hays; Marilyn Tallman, Hays; Janice 0. Emswiller, McPherson. Associate Ratings were awarded to Valerie Miller, McPherson,, Helen Shearer, Fort Hays; Euetva Malsom, Dighton. Intramural Ra-| tings' were earned by Connie Hansen, Hays; Elma J. Holmes,! McPherson. I The next in the series of clinics' will be a swimming clinic with! ratings, scheduled for March 7. j High school instructors and stu-j dents in the Central Kansas area! are welcome and may receive; registrations from the women's physical education department. Both written and practical tests will be given with Fort Hays State students providing the demonstration swim teams.
