Dejoie, president of the Unity Life and Industrial Insurance Company, he became the acretary of the concern. On the twtnty - fifth anniversary of his marriage, December 16th, 1921, friends of himself and his charming wife here and in Chicago, Chattanoogc, LosV Angeles, Akron, Ohio, and in Baton Rogue, re - reiembering' the event, sent them 110 lr ver tokens of good wishes, all beautiful nd valuable as gifts for a nice hojne, trh as theirs is. Their paor, the Rev. Mr. B. J. Reddix. of Mt lien M. E. Church and Mrs. Ophelia Smith, one of th teacher of Thorny Lafon Public School and a highly favored pianist and organist at the same time, were present at line celebration and contributed largely to the joy and happiness of the occasion: the Rev. Mr. RMdix by the helpful and inspiring good wishes expressed and Mrs. Smith by the elevating and beautiful music which she played.
