Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bassi of Leland are parents of the groom-elect. Miss Goode is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Goode and of Mr. and Mrs. D. I.. Carter and the late Mrs. Edna Sims Carter, all of Meridian, Miss. A graduate student in entomology at the 'University of Arkansas, she received a B.S. degree in horticulture from the University where she is a member of Alpha Zeta. Miss Goode received scholarships f r o m t h e N a t i o n a l F l o r i s t s Association, and the Arkansas Pesticides Association and the Arkansas Horticultural Society. She was employed by the firm of Maarse, Inc., in the Netherlands, Holland. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mina F. Bassi and the late Mr. anssie, and of Mr. and Mrs. M. Rniurdi, all of Shaw, Miss. A doctoral student at the University nt Arkansas, where be is a research assistant in plant pathology, Bassie lias an associated arts degree from Mississippi Delta Junior College, a B.S. from Louisiana State University and a masters degree from Mississippi State University. Chapman and the late Mr. Chapman of Indianola, Miss. The bride-elect is a graduate of McCehcc High School and Great Rivers Vocational Technical School.
