David McNew, of Kempton, j AT HOSPITAL Served in World War and" War With Spain. PLAN MILITARY BURIAL Benjamin and Julia (Lqngfellow David McNew, of Kempton. died at the Robert Long hospital Saturday morning at 2 o'clock, death being due to Blight's disease and complications which caused paralysis of the throat. His condition became very serious a few weeks ago. and he was taken to the hospital at Indianapolis a week ago Thursday for treatment and observation. Mr. McNew was the) son of : McNew, and was horn in Tipton county, near Tetersburg. Jan. 22. 1877. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Lydia Newton McNew, to whom he was married three years ago, and two sisters and a brother. John McNew and Mrs. Ida King, of Seattle. Wash., and Mrs. Mary Murphy, of Anderson. The deceased resided in Tipton county the greater part of his li-fe. He was a Spanish-American war veteran, and also was a world war veteran, enlisting with Co. I. 1917. On account of I April 24, 1917. On account disabilities he was given an lion orable discharge, while in service' I aud returned to Kempton. Funeral service will ,he held Monday morning,- but the hour and place have not been named. He will be given a military funeral.
