Airman Garton Wed in Normal Miss Betty Sacry and Airman Third Class Martin Garten were married Sunday at the First Baptist Baptist Church, Normal. Miss Sacry is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Sacry, IQVa W. Chestnut Chestnut St. Mr. Garton is the son of Mrs. Malinda D. Garton, 507 Sud-duth Sud-duth Sud-duth Rd., Normal, and the late Fay L. Garton. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. John A. Logan in the presence of 75 guests. Mrs. Shirley Ropp sang, and Mrs. J. Albert Neu played the organ. THE BRIDE wore a ballerina length princess style gown of white nylon tulle with Chantilly lace panels panels and bodice over white satin. The fingertip length veil was of nylon tulle caught to a Chantilly lace cap embroidered with pearls and sequins. The bride carried a Bible bound in white topped with a shower of white carnations. The Bible had belonged to the bridegroom's bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. David Andrew Dean. Maid cf honor was Miss Edna ' Sacry, sister of the bride. Her dress was of pink lace and tulle. Norman L. Garton of Joliet, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Flower girl was Ina Malinda Garton, Joliet, niece of the bridegroom. Richard Dean Garton, Joliet, nephew of the bridezroom was ring bearer. Head usher was Charles Watkins, Normal. The bridegroom's mother and Mr. and Mrs. Norman L. Garton gave a reception in the church parlors following the wedding Mrs. Vera Moon, Mrs. Harold Humphrey, Mrs. Harold Lynch, Mrs. Josephine Howard and Mrs Fred Sorrenson, assisted. FOR TRAVEL the bride chose a light blue wool suit with dark blue velvet accents. A graduate of University High School, she has been employed at State Farm Insurance Insurance Companies. Mr. Garton Graduated from Normal Communi tv High School. He attended the University of Illinois before enlisting enlisting in the Air Force. The couple left for a trip to Northern Illinois. They will spend Christmas Day with the Norman L. Gartons in Joliet. after which they will leave for Albuquerque, N. M., where Mr. uanon is sia tioned.
