Here ia another, from Corporal Jacob A. with the Engineers at Fore Belvoir, addressed to "the lovely women of tonnellsville who the- service people on each train": "In my notebook I have entered tribute praise to your organization. It is a gtand ing to step off a train and partake of a city'-. hospitality, knowing, or rather being mado tn feel, unmistakably that, the kind people of that city are- behind you wholeheartedly and g no end of effort to prove it. "We marvel at the fact that rain or cold or warm, the smile of enthusiasm in the work you are doing is not dampened bit as you greet each group that comes. luany of the boys haven't time to engage in *-on- versation at the time, but I make hasle to you that they will carry with them the rest of their lives a glowing memory of Connulls- ville and its kind women.
