Steele, Statesvillfe realtor, today declared that when present remodeling work is completed completed on 14 store buildings on Court street the thoroughfare, which has been little more than an alley, will be "second to none in the city " It was announced yesterday that work had begun on the first two buildings, the Deluxe Smoke Shop and an unoccupied structure next to it. The fronts will be revamped revamped in a modernistic pattern, and officials of the G L. Wilson Building Building Company said today that they will rush the project to an -earlj. 1 completion. These first two store fronts may be finished within a week or ten days. Steele said today that the store interiors will foe remodeled to "suit the tenant." He said that street had needed a face-lifting for years and ( h a t he will make merchants ts to locate r mpleted, he put a new sidewalk down in keeping with the freshened-up trend. The 14 buildings extend frofll Court Market to the FCX home.
