Campbell and Thorn, heard the cases of newly elected members of the De portment who were desirous of being enrolled so as to be enabled to vote for tholr favorite Assistant Engineer Engineer at tho election on Tuesday evening next. Tho plan of procedure 1b as follows : When a member Is elected his name is sent to the Board of Commissioners, Commissioners, who i)bbs upon his case. If the member Is found worthy, his name is placed upon a Register kept for that purpose, and a badge is furnished him.
