An "Alton Industrial Day" sponsored by the St. Louis Browns American League club, is to be observed observed on that day. Teams representing representing Owens-Illinois Glass Co. and Western Cartridge Co., wil play the opening game of a doubleheader doubleheader program. The Browns wil meet the Detroit Tigers in the second second game. Plans to accommodate the youngsters youngsters for the special occasion were set in motion yesterday at a meeting meeting of Mayor Struif, City Recreation Recreation Director Russell Foval ant Andrew Menzie of the Owens-Illinois Owens-Illinois 'personnel office.
