Batson, regional director ot the Bii- ·can of Reclamation, said Thursday. The project would divert an estimated 09,200 acre feet ot water from the Colorado River watershed and carry it across the Continental Divide into the Arkansas Valley. The project. is expected to come up for consideration in the nexl session of Congress. Batson said supplementary irri gation water that could be made available to farmers would be worth 5;',,339,000 a year. Power pro duced in a series ot upper valley plants would bs worth an estimated ?1,662,000 and flood and sediment ·would add $724,000. Total cost ot the project has been estimated at $147,000,000. aw at
