Lorin W. 'Spider7 Peebles MARION Lorin W. "Spider" Peebles, 73, of Marion died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at Marion Memorial Hospital. Hospital. Funeral services services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, in the Meredith-Blue Meredith-Blue Meredith-Blue Funeral Home, Marion, with the Rev. Shorty Alsip officiating. Visitation Visitation will be Peebles after 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Marion. Marion. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Marion Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1301. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Mr. Peebles was born Nov. 5, 1926, to Dewey and Myrtle (Sims) Peebles. His first wife, Helen Peebles, preceded him in death on May 17, 1955. He then married Betty Jean Peebles who also preceded him in death on May 21, 1980. He later married Donna (Edwards) Peebles, and she survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, Michael Michael and Mary Peebles of Little Elm, Texas, and Doug and Lisa Peebles of Marion; a daughter and son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, Jo Ann and Keith Violett of Pittsburg; stepchildren, Wayne Fosse and Terry Fosse, both of Marion, Connie and Greg Burke of Pittsburg and Rocky Fosse of Texas; grandchildren, Stepphanie and Sabrina Peebles, Ryan and Kyle Violett, Dillon and Ethan Peebles, Sarah Fosse, Josh Fosse and Morgan Burke; brother brother and sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, Eugene and Geneva Peebles of Carbondale; and several nieces and nephews He was also preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Peebles worked at Fabick Machinery for 26 years as a heavy equipment mechanic and later worked and retired from Consol Mine at Burning Star No. 5 also as a heavy equipment me chanic. He served in the U.S. Navy dur ing World War II, was a life mem ber of the Marion VFW Post 1301, a member of the Marion Eagles and a member of Lake of Egypt Country Club where he en joyed playing golf with his friends. 1 I : .j - 4 t .
