Ira C Merrill called by Death
C. MIL CALLED DEATH ATHENS, Aug. 12 Ira C. Merrill, Merrill, . 74, a lifelong ' resident of Litchfield asd East Athens, died early this morning at the home of his nephew, Edward Merrill, in Litchfield, the house in which he was born. He was at his nephew's home lor the Merrill family reunion which was to have been held today. today. When he was called this morning by his nephew he did not respond. The nephew went to his uncle's room and observed that he was dead. Dr. A. E. Dann of Canton, Bradford county coroner, coroner, was called at once. After examining examining the body, Dr. Dann said that death was due to natural causes. Mr. Merrill had been in poor health for some time, and yesterday morning he complained of dizziness. The body was removed removed to the Powers Funeral Home. Surviving are three sons, Irvin of South Waverly, Harry of Endi-rott, Endi-rott, Endi-rott, and Wesley of Elmira; one daughter, Mrs. Ray Eldred of Sayre; one brother, Peter Merrill of Nichols; one sister, Mrs. Matilda Matilda Park of East Athens, with whom he lived, and several grand-:hildren grand-:hildren grand-:hildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Eldred, 118 Hoover street, Sayre, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock daylight time. Rev. Charles Foden of Ulster will officiate, and burial will be in Tioga Point cemetery.
