James R Irwin and Claire C Cook wed
Mr. Irwin Takes Bride in Jackson A MORNING SERVICE at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Jackson, Mich., united Claire Constance Cook and James Ross Irwin in marriage on Sept. 18. The bride, who is the daughter daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo George Cook, of Jackson, wore a street-length street-length street-length dress of sapphire blue with a white orchid shoulder corsage. Mr. Irwin is the son of Mrs. Margaret E. Irwin, of Dexter Blvd., and the late James Henry Irwin. The Rev. Father Joseph Herr, the bride's uncle, performed the ceremony with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Eugene Cullinane assisting. assisting. The bridegroom's sister, Dorothy Irwin, was maid of honor and wore a gold crepe frock with a corsage of roses. Following the ceremony there was a wedding breakfast at the Cascade Club House, and in the afternoon a reception took place at the home of the bride. The couple then left for a two weeks' honeymoon in Boston and New York.
