The Ch'ase' County Equal Suffrage Association gave a delightful reception, -v. ith Mrs. Lilla Day 1 Monroe, of Topeka, and Mrs. Beth Dodge Car- Son, of St. Louis, as Quests of honor, yesterday afternoon lat the home of Mrs. N. B. Scribner, in Saffordville. Mrs. ^Monroe is making a series of suffrage talks in Chase County, and yesterday afternoon she talked of the legal status of women. Her talk was highly illuminating: and was given the most careful attention by tho large company. Mrs. Monroe is one of' the most efficient of .the ,mai'iy Kansas women who are working for suffrage this year, and her addressej are able and convincing.
