UUBY ASHBY Mrs. Ruby I.ee Ashby, 44, wife of Virgil Paul Ashby, 237 W. 38th St., died suddenly Saturday Saturday morning in Way Cross, Ga., where she and her hus- jand were staying on their return return trip from Florida. Mrs. Ashby was born Sept. 29, 1923 In Henderson, Ky. She was a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess deaconess and was active in the Meadowbrook PTA and the Heart and Cancer societies here. Surviving with the husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips of Mannington, Ky.; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Carolyn Sue Gold, Mrs. Paulette Sue Webb and Miss Louise Ashby, all of Anderson; a son, Steven Ashby, also of Anderson; and one grandchild. The body was returned to Baker Brothers F u n e r Ifome where friends wilt be received received today. Funeral rites have been arranged arranged for 1 p.m. Tuesday a the Meadoy, brook B a p t Church with the Rev. John Zu ber, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery here.
