4,000 Turkeys Lost C. Hinkel and Edward Kraus
4,000 Turkeys Lost. Also lost were 4,000 turkey poults, which were burned to death or suffocated in the fire. Only last Thanksgiving, 2500 turkeys, ready for the market, were lost on the farm during the blizzard at that time. The land is farmed jointly by Charles Hinkel and Edward Kraus. Mrs. Kraus came home from a bridge club Thursday night and noticed nothing amiss when she retired.
