Resident Of Garden Dies MANISTIQUE— Mrs. Earl M Clifton Sr., 59. of Garden, died suddenly at 3.15 a. m. today. Mrs. Clifton was born Jean Watson in Manistique Jan. 26, 1900. Her marriage to Mr, Clifton took place in Manistique April 21, 1922. Since that time she had made her home in Garden where she was a member of the Congregational Church. Surviving are her husband; three sons, William of Cooks and Earl Jr. and Jack, both of Garden; one daughter, Mrs. Francis Gould of U tica, Mich.; three brothers, Charles and John Watson of Gulliver and Wilfred Watson of Flint; one sister. Mrs. Earl Barlow of Traverse City; and 13 grandchildren. Friends may begin calling at Messier-Broullire Funeral Home at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. in the Congregational Church at Garden. Friends may also call at the church between 1 and 2 pm. Friday. Burial will be in New Garden Cemetery.
