Dan Figg a Suicide Dan Figg, 35, a well known farmer residing south of Wheeling, committed committed seicide at his home at 6:30 o'clock Monday morning by firing a charge from a shot gun into his head Dr. Carpenter, the coroner, was sum- mon c d. and after viewing the body decided that an inquest was unnec- essary. For the past two weeks the family and friends of the dead man had noticed he acted strangely but! did not believe his condition wasi .,._ ,__ . ._ such that he would take his life. Figg was a veteran of the World war and was gassed while in action and he had never fully recovered. He is survived by his wife and two children. children. He had lived in the vicinity of Wheeling since the close of the war anr" had a wide circle of friends who w*»re shocked at the announcement of his death. His home life was one of happiness and his friends believe that his continuous worry over his condition condition from being gassed caused him to take his life.
