Kerr Rochester Mrs. in an George W. Markey OAKLAND -- George W. Markey, 82, former resident of Oakland, Oakland, died Saturday. He had ill for some time and had hospitalized in Omaha. Prior to going to the hospital he had lived with a daughter, Council Bluffs for several years. A Spanish American War veteran, he was born in Claypool, Ind. but spent most of his life in Oakland vicinity. He was a retired carpenter. Services will be at Vieths Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p. The Rev. W. K. Hosenyager officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include: five daughters, daughters, Mrs. Joe Donnelly, Mrs. Lois Achenbaugh and Mrs. William William Schutt, all of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Dean Compton and Frank Compton, both of Wichita, Kan.; three sons, Forest Markey and Ross Markey, both of Wichita, George C.
