Sisters End Separation Of 48 Years Mrs. Empoliti, Mrs. Guiseppi Hold Reunion Two sisters were reunited In Naugaluck this week, after a sparalfon of <18 years. They are Mrs. Amoiia Empoliti, 74, of 37 Coen street, and her sister, Mrs. Santina (Marchelti) Gulscppi, GO, of Cleveland, Miss. The women, both born In Poz- zoalro, Italy, came lo Ihc United States with their mother and father father and Mrs. Empoliti's husband, husband, ami the family settled in Arkansas. This was more or 'less of a honeymoon for the EmpolllI couple, who were married a little more than a month. Alter a four- year stay in this country, the parents returned to Italy and have since passed away. The sisters sisters lost contact when Mrs. Em- ppliti and husband moved to Mississippi, Mississippi, then to Saybrook and finally finally to Naugatuck where they have resided lor the past 43 years. They related that neither one of them were able to write and their children were too young to correspond correspond which resulted In each not knowing where Ihe other was living until about 11 years ago. This came about when Primo Rugglero, a brother of the late Mr. Rugglero of Coen street, vis- isted In the borough from Arkansas, Arkansas, and asked his brother if he knew the-Marchetti family from Arkansas. Mrs. Guiscppi, who was formerly married to Mr. Mar- chettl, turned out to be Mrs. Empoliti's Empoliti's sister. Since that time their children have corresponded for their mothers. Mrs. Guiseppi. who was accompanied accompanied by her son and daughter- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mar- chettl and children, of Tennessee, . for the reunion, will return to their home Monday. This past week the sisters have visited with several of their rela lives, reminiscing over old times. They are looking forward to another another visit with each other, this ' time In not the too Jar future.
