Layer the Bellf lower and Burton the Legion player lead those who have been at the plate' 15 or more times. Layer has 11 hits in 22 at bats while Burton has 9 out of 18. Not far behind is Jim Waggoner of Schroff with .478 and Everett Clark of Buell with .476. Layer, Waggoner and Tom Kalapmski of- Schroff are tied for the most hits with 11. Kalapinski is tops in runs scored wifli 9 while Layer, ' Waggoner, 'and Chick Schdwenger'dt of 'Bellflower each have tajlied -8 times. "' Buell leajli the. league witb. 4 wins and 2 losses. In se'cond is Schroff and Legion with 3-3 while Bellflower has 2-4. ' ' In the pitching department, Wintpn Weiser of Buell paces all hurlers with 3 victories -and no defeats. Woody Paullus of Schroff and Burton also, have 3 wins but Paullus has lost twice and Burton .thrice. Team statistics show all 4 contestants closely tied for most runners left on base. Schr6ff has stranded 43, Buell 44, and Bellflower and Legion 45. Schroff has the best team batting mark with .338. Buell'is hitting: at a .319 clip, Legion .307, and B.ellf lower .282.
