Ira A. (Dick) Bodine
Ira A. (Dick) Bodine Dies; Rites Thursday Ira Alva (Dick) Bodine, of 3406 south 32th street, died at 8:10 a. m. today in Jefferson Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 years, seven months, and 18 days. He was a retired woodworker woodworker at the Mt. Vernon Car Companj.'. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p. m. TTiursday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Carl Whittington Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetei-y. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. Wednesday. Mr. Bodine was bom Feb. 5, 3891, in Jefferson county, the son of John A. and Nancy (Gaunse) Bodine. He was first married to Ollie Wilson, who preceded him in death on July 26, 1959. On June 3, 1960, at Whittington, he was married to Myrtle Potter, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Alfred Bodine of this city; a daughter, Mi-s. Leta Brieseacher Brieseacher of Sparta; two step-sons, Lawrence E. Potter of Hinesville, Hinesville, Ga., and Howai'd Potter of Salem;^^ a brother, Stmce Bodine; Bodine; two half-brotiiers, Bennie Earl Arnold and Bennie Oi-val Arnold, all of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Bodine was a member of Second Baptist «>;^-ch.
