Fred James, 63, of 720 Fountain Fountain St., was charged with unsafe unsafe deviation from a traffic lane and for failing to give information information at an accident scene at 10:05 p.m. after his auto was 400 block of E. Madison St. Police said he was driving in the inside lane and swung out to go around a street construction construction barricade. His auto collided collided with a car driven in t h e left lane by Michael Quale, 19, of 1709 Birch St. James left the scene but was traced through his car license number obtained by Quale. Thursday at 12:05 p.m. police went to Putnam Drive. They reported Marcia Voth, 18, o f 1527 Badger Ave., was turning turning onto Putnam from a private drive when her auto jumped the curb and struck a no parking sign. Damage was estimated at $180. Guy Hanson, 1202 Omaha St., called police at 12:25 a.m. today today and reported an auto struck the rear of his home and then drove off. He said the driver was attempting to make a turn in the 700 block of Center St. and backed into the house. Damage Damage was minor.
