Creations. Floyd Ossanna BESSEMER — Floyd J. Ossanna, Ossanna, 95, of Anvil Location, Bessemer, Bessemer, died Wednesday morning in Wakefield. ' He was born Feb. 21, 1900, in fturenberg, Pa., son of the late Virgil and Anna (Marchetti) Ossanna. Ossanna. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Ramsay and a member of its Holy Name Society. He was employed employed at the Anvil Mine for 50 years as an ore analyst, retiring in 1954. He enjoyed bowling and was especially especially proud of his 300 game at Anvil. He was an avid follower of the Detroit Tigers. He also was a member of the Miller High Life Bowling Team of 1941 which took honors. On Aug. 21, 1929, he married Lena Savera at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer with Father Charles Swoboda officiating. officiating. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Floyd F. (Clara) and Richard Richard (Pat); a daughter, Claire (Herb) Falk; eight grandchildren, Leslie Ossanna, Chicago, Cathy (Randy) Webb, Hurley, Rick (KathyJ Ossanna, Appleton, Wis., Paul (Judy) Ossanna and Greg (Kristen) Ossanna of Bessemer, arrangements. Ann (Steve) Barth of Elgin, 111., Karen (Scott) Lankford of Cary, 111., and Jim Falk of Algonquin; six great-grandchildren, Nicole, Cabrielle, Tony and Karen Ossanna, Ossanna, and Lisa and Mathew Lankford and Amy Barth; a step-brother, Frank Pinchinelle; and two step-sisters, Delphine Sarvella and Irene Beck. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Falk; a brother, William; two sisters, Delia Bianchi Bianchi and Mary Repinski; two stepbrothers, stepbrothers, John and Leno Pinchinelli; and a step-sister Ann Pinchinelli. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bessemer with Rev, Joseph Carne officiating and Rev. B. Neil Smith, concelebrant. A vistiation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service and spring burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer. Pallbearers will be grandsons Rick, Paul and Greg Ossanna, James Falk, Steven Barth and Randy Webb. The Frick-Zielinski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. arrangements.
