mlttee. Funeral of Jacob Emlg. The funeral of Jacob Emg, an old and respected resident of South Scranton, took place yesterday after noon at 2 o'clock from the First German German Presbyterian church. Rev. William William A. Nordt, D. D., delivered a short sermon in German at the house during which he spoke in glowing terms of the character of the de ceased. After the services at the house the funeral cortege moved to the First Presbyterian church on Hickory street where services were conducted. Rev. Mr. Nordt again spoke, this time In English. Miss Ruth Nordt, Mies Marie D. Wort, Herman Dornhelm and John Stoeber sang during the funeral services. The pall - bearers were: George Kessler, Charles Zang, Fred - Gunter, Casper Fuhrer, Fred Schwenk and John Fruchter. The flower bearers were: Jacob Emlg, Joseph Emig, Fred. Emlg and Harold Machler.
