1 j ! torpe- ; Conversion to Dials In Office No. 7 -Next -Next Telephone Step Next step In the conversion of Ottawa's' telephone service to dial operatiorrwill take place about the middle of January, it has been an- an- 1 nounced by Bell Telephone official. Office No.. 7, formerly known as the Carling exchange, will be taken out of service at that time and most of the lines traru-i traru-i traru-i ferred to dial operation. Additional ' equipment is being installed at the dial centre, O'Connor O'Connor and-Albert and-Albert and-Albert streets, to serve the subscribers affected. A few of tne lines from the old Carling exchange exchange will be transferred to office f iiu. o lu iiiMitiiujii an rvtn loaaiug in the equipment throughout the city. When the change is made, ail .telephones in Ottawa with the exception exception of those served '.by office No. 8 will be dial-operated. dial-operated. dial-operated.
