——J <- BLAZE LEVELS HOTEL NEAR CONNEAUT LAKE Fire destroyed a 12-room, two- story hotel near Conneaut Lake today hours before transaction on its sale was to be completed. George Miller, co-owner, suffered minor injuries in a,fall down smoke filled steps. Miller discovered the blaze and called firemen. The hotel is located a quarter mile from Conneaut Lake Park. Miller and his cousin, Anthony Miller, estimated damage at $35,000. Anthony is a partner. Volunteers from seven fire companies fought the blaze in 10-degree weather. Hose had to be strung 1,600 feet. Miller and his cousin operated the inn the past four years. They planned to sell the property today to Philip Fashlan of Pittsburgh. The transaction was scheduled to be closed yesterday but Fashion postponed his trip to Meadville because of his wife's illness. The hotel was closed at the end of the summer season and Miller was staying there alone.
