23 Get Permits for New Homes With another week to go, new home building in Janesville now has equalled the record of the first five months of 1952, according to permits issued by Louis Graesslin, City building inspector. Permits had been issued for 63 new homes on May 20, the number which was not reached until the last day of May in 1952. The construction of new homes had dropped slightly behind last year during March and April but a spurt this month indicates that the early spring activity of 1952 will be ex- ceded this year. • During the first three weeks of this month, 23 permits have been issued for new homes.
