NATIONAL HOME DEMONSTRATION WEEK IMPORTANT TO MANY LADIES May 2nd till the 8th has been • proclaimed as National Home Demonstration Week. There are two Home Demonstration Clubs in the City of Katy. The ladies of these clubs have been studying the various phases of clothing, dining area, and herbs, this year. The "K" Club is composed of about 13 members, namely: Mrs. Ward Stanberry, Mrs. Melbert Schlipf, Mrs. L. A. Northan, Mrs. Selvyn Bacon, Mrs. Floyd Beckendorff, Mrs. S. C. Bell, Mrs. Ernest Bishop, and Mrs. O. H. Edwards. Included in this number are the officers: Mrs. Melvin Scott, President; Mrs. Gray, Vice- President; Mrs. Dale Minz, Secretary; and Mrs. M. N. Newman, Council Delegate. Officers of the Katy Club are: President, Mrs. B. F. Metzger; Vice-President, Mrs. A. W. Moebes- Secretary, Mrs. Carl Schlipf," Council Delegate, Mrs. Clyde Nelson, Reporter, Mrs. Lloyd Huntsinger; and Parliamentarian, Mrs. J. M. Buchan( nan. Other members are: Mrs. M. D. Clubs Sponsor'Tea The Katy and the "K" Home Demonstration Clubs win have a silver Tea in honor of National Home Demonstration Week. The Tea will be at the home of Mrs. E. E. Pearson Monday afternoon, May 3rd from 2 until 4 o'clock. Everyone is invited to come. The money will be used to help some worthy fam- Week Celebrated The Addicks-Barker Home Demonstration club celebrated National Home Demonstration Week with a breakfast last Wednesday morning. Honorees were first club president, Mrs. J. B. Casey of Hugo, Okla., and Mrs. Ed Johan, Madison, Ind., house guest of Mrs. Emory Marks. The breakfast was at the E. H. Marks log cabin. Mrs. Emory Marks was hostess.
