Funeral Services This Afternoon For Chester Stockdkk William Chester Stockdick died Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at his residence in Katy. He was born on November 17, 1880 in Jefferson City, Mo. He lived in Katy since 1896 and was engaged in rice farming until retirement several years ago. The body is in state at the Milton H. Schmidt Funeral Home until 1:00 o'clock today. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. (today) Thursday, October 28 at the First Methodist Church of Katy. Interment will be in the Katy Magnolia Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Zeta Helen Morrison .Stockdick; six daughters, Mrs. Fabiola Pitts, Mrs. Ruth Williams, Mrs. Mabel Robichaux, Mrs. Zeta Helen Bruton and Mrs. Ramona Bains; two sons, W. C. Stock- dick, Jr., and Adam Maurice Stockdick; three brothers, E. C. Stockdick, C. H. Stockdick and E. G. Stockdick; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Tucker; sixteen grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John England, O. N. England, Jr., J. D. Woods, B. Ray Woods, Chester Jordan, Gary Johnson, Chas. E. Morton, and W. R. Euton. The family requests friends to please omit flowers. Memorial gifts may be made to: Treasurer of First Methodist Church of Katy.
