R.B.. (Dublin). —The Shiahs arid Sunnis are two Mahomedan sects. The former are mostly found in Persia, and the latter in other Mohamedan lands. A more modern Persian sect, called the Babis, takes it name from the prophet " Bab.'' The C.M.S. has a mission in Persia, the head-quarters being located in a suburb,of Ispahan.
