William M. Treloar (1850-1935)
William Marshall Treloar. Funeral services for William Marshall Treloar, 8'i years old, a former member of congress from the Ninth Missouri District, who died Wednesday at his home. 6047 Kingsbury avenue, will be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at the Lupton chapel. 4449 Olive street. Burial will be in Belle-fontaine Cemetery. Mr. Treloar was also a former instructor of music at Hardin College in Mexico. Mo. He had been a resident of St. Louis for the past twenty years. In 1894, Mr. Treloar, running against the late Champ Clark, was elected to congress and served one term. He was later appointed postmaster of Mexico by President McKinley. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Silver Treloar; a son, Percy Treloar of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. M. H. Lester of Nevada, Mo.
