Anthony Narkiewicz, poisonous toadstools
TOADSTOOLS KH.I. Poisonous toadstools caused the death at Buffalo yesterday of one man and serious illness of eight other persons. The dead man is Anthony Narkiewicz, 45. Those ill include his wife and their two small children. Narkiewicz picked the poisonous fungi in a field last Saturday and he and his family ate them for dinner that night. On Sunday they were taken ill, but neglected to summon a doctor until until yesterday. The husband died shortly after the arrival of the physician. His wife and children responded to treatment and are expected to recover. The five other other persons became ill after eating poisonous toadstools gathered near their homes. All are expected expected to recover.
