Abram Shaffer, died suddenly yesterday at his home, 198 West Main street, Bellwood. Born April 9, 1858 [1868], at East Sharpsburg, he was a son of John and Susan Shaffer. He married Susan Nearhoof August 11, 1891, in Antis township. Members of the family include his wife and these children: J. E. and Clarence of Bellwood, Albert of Tyrone, Edgar of Kansas City, Mrs. Eva Brophy of Chicago, and Mrs. Elizabeth McClellan of Bellwood, two half-brothers, Lloyd and Ed Emigh and six grandchildren.
