Both his arms were pulled into the machinery, severely lacerating both arms and causing hemorrhaging of the brachial arteries. According to the coroner, he was dead for about an hour before being found. The engine had choked down by the time the son discovered the tragedy. Mr. Brace was bom on the same farm on which he died. He was bom on June 16, 1901, the son of John and Emma Doetker Brace. In 1928 he was married to Bertha Ruttkar, who survives. Also surviving are the son, Dennis; a daui^ter, Mrs. Bumette Fegan of Junction City, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. P^rl White of Evansville; and tHfce grandchildren.
