M-WC Vols Announce Progress on Stations Saugerties, Oct. 19—The progress of work toward the completion of fire houses in Malden and West Camp were discussed at the regular meeting of the Malden-West Camp Fire Company held recently at Malden firehouse. Ie was reported thatflhe outside work on the Malden firehouse had been completed and that the project of finishing the | meeting room in the firehouse was in progress. Work on the | backroom to be done by the volunteers will include pouring of the concrete floor and installation of plumbing facilities . Work projected at West Camp fire station will include improvement of the heating system and brick veneeripg of the outside. \ committee is seeking bids for the brick veneering project. Fog nozzels were demonstrated and new caps and badges were distributed at the meeting. Fire Chief Charles Teetsel announced that the company was ready to organize a fire police unit for the company. All firemen in the company interested may contact him. To increase the signal at West Camp a new larger fire siren was installed on the West Camp station. The former West Camp siren was installed on the roof of Ransom’s store in Malden. The newly installed siren in Malden will be sounded in conjunction with the siren on top of the Malden station. Refreshments were served following the meeting at which Luther Emerick presided.
