Spven Are Due To Land Jobs In State Stores Local Men Named Man agers Believed to Be Only Retained on Eligible Eligible List Seven more Lackawanna County men have been appointed a liquor itore managers, according to an announcement made by the State Liquor Control Board at Harriaburz yesterday. The board made public a Ust of 105 appointments, including 46 to positions as store managers at an annual salary of 11,860 each. ; Those named are: Torrington it. Watkins, 1304 Schlager Street; Henry P. Roth, 431 North Webster Avenue; Roy. T. Robling, 1629 - Capous: Avenue; Charles L. Kokol. 1803 Sanderson Avenue, and Robert L. Graves, all of this city; Arthur R. Laing, Clarks Summit, and George J. Lesher, Car - bondale. No Assignment Made No assignments were announced by the state commission. Officials of the liquor board said that most of the appointments were made as a result of a ruling by the attorney general office concerning the promotion of store employes. It was explained that the board had followed a policy, in opening new stores, of transferring assistant managers, and making clerks assistant managers. Such promotions, it was announced, have been cancelled as a result of the department of justice ruling, and the new appointments authorized from tne civil service list based on the results of the examinations last December,
