Norton vi lie SUSAN BEOHA* The Lions Club held its regular business meeting with Pastor Paul Osborn president, presiding. April 1 has been designated as "Ladies Night" and husbands are invited to bring their wives for the evening. There was a discussion on summer baseball for boys and girls, and more about this will be discussed at a later meeting. Webster Mooney was admitted as a patient to Jefferson County Memorial ( after suffering » serious illness at his home recently. The fifth and sixth grade baseball tournament ended with St. Joseph's A team winning over the fifth and sixth tirade All-Stars All-Stars All-Stars Mrs. Bertha Weishaar recently planed to St. Louis where she was the guest of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Weishaar. From St. Louis Mrs. Weishaar went to Dallas, Tex., where she visited with her granddaughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Swofford, for a couple of days. From there she returned to St. Louis where she was guest at a dinner party given by her son and his family. She returned to Nortonville Monday. The new Modular home of Mrs. Anna Weishaar has arrrived and is being ?jiij,.l>led on her lot north of the Ralph Gerety home. Mrs. Helen Emmerick has returned home after spending a week at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Emmerick, Rossville. Mrs. Helen Emmerick was a guest Sunday at the Francis Grollmes home in Valley Falls where she helped her grandchildren, Jimmy Grollmes, 10, and Vicky Meinert, 7, celebrate their birthdays. Also preseii' were Mr. and Mrs. Fr?neis Grollmes, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meinert, and Mr. and Mrs. 1'aul Grollmes. George Nauman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Nauman, has returned home after undergoing an appendectomy at Jefferson County Memorial hospital. Recent quests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Lawrence Nauman. were their son, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nauman and daughter Lori Kay. Mr. and Mrs. Nauman are students at Emporia Stale college and were on spring break A son, Steven Lawrence, was torn recently to Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCoy, Atchison. He has a brother, Brian. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Maris, paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Doug McCoy and great paternal grandmother is Mrs. Melissa McCoy, all of Nortonville The Nortonville Garden club met recently at the Electro cafe with Esther Vincent as iHistess. The president, Mateel Nieman, was in charge of the meeting.
